Indoor and Online Psychotherapy

seeking therapy

Who this may support

People come to therapy for many different reasons.

Sometimes life feels overwhelming or difficult to navigate. Sometimes there is a sense that old patterns keep repeating, or that something no longer feels quite right.

You may be experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, life transitions, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, somatic symptoms or a sense that something feels difficult to carry alone.

Sometimes the challenges are connected to past experiences. Sometimes they relate to current circumstances, relationships, work or health.

Whatever brings you here, therapy can offer a space to explore your experience with support, curiosity and compassion.

What therapy may involve

The first session is an opportunity to begin understanding what has brought you to therapy and what you may be hoping for from the work. There is no pressure to explain everything perfectly.

Therapy often begins with simply becoming curious about what you are experiencing and making space for things that may have felt difficult to understand alone.

As therapy develops, we may explore recurring patterns, emotions, body sensations, relationships and earlier experiences, gently building a deeper understanding of yourself and your experiences.

My approach begins with understanding your experience more fully and developing a kinder, more compassionate relationship with yourself.

After the first few sessions, we can review how the work is feeling and whether you would like to continue.

How sessions work

Therapy Room in Long Crendon

Sessions usually take place weekly at the same regular time each week.

We usually begin with four sessions before taking time to review how the work feels and whether you would like to continue.

Therapy may be shorter-term or open-ended, depending on your needs and what feels helpful.

Sessions are available in person in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, or online from the comfort of your own home. Many people are surprised by how connected and effective online therapy can feel.

I do not offer one-off therapy sessions, as meaningful therapeutic work usually develops over time.
